• Due to its delicate nature, silk needs to be washed in cool water.
• Turn products inside out and place them in a delicate bag.
• Wash with a pH neutral liquid detergent or silk detergent.
• Machine wash in no higher than 30C/ 86f.
• Leave to dry naturally. Do not tumble dry.

Hand washing with cool water is the preferred method to care for your silk products.

It is recommended to wash your silk pillowcases and your other silk products that you use daily, along with your bed sheets every two weeks. If your products are visibly soiled you should wash them before next use. Momme, also abbreviated as mm, is the weight and density of silk fabrics. Momme in silk products usually ranges from 19 mm to 25 mm. Higher momme means there are more strands of silk in the fabric, making the product heavier.

On our journey to bring the Silk Drip experience to life, a 12 month trial and error phase was undertaken, testing mommes (19 mm – 30 mm) from various manufacturers and other silk brands. The criteria we tested for was feel, quality and benefits of the different mommes.

It was found that 19 mm is very fine, whilst 25 mm and above can feel too thick and heavy and essentially does not provide additional benefits compared to 22 mm. 22 mm is the perfect amount of silk thickness providing an amazing feel and great benefits to skin, hair, sleep and health.
